That would mean that what ever u want to sell u vould ctrl click it and a link( name and color of item ) would apear... when u see something of interest u would see the stats ( like if u set cursor on your current gear )

u could ctrl click all items u wanted to sell like this... and there wouldnt be so many confusion in trade window ( same colors, not knowing what color r they selling....... ).. if u would be interested in greens u could see the green links, gsame with gold etc...

I think any other system would be better than one we r forced to use right now...
/double signed w/extra whipped cream! Great idea about the colors!

A great idea, the biggest problem with WTS yelling is that in busy areas this can fly by so fast on chat you can't see whats being offered without scrolling up over loads of text. It would also reduce the people who keep spamming what they are offering....then again they would probably just spam "Come to my shop!!!" instead :/

while i was playing wow people didnt realy spamm after they offered what they wanted... If they start repeating, people just started ignoring them...
Sooner or later they realise its no use of spamming... because if response doesnt come soon there is just no interest for ur items..

I agree, I can see people saying WTS LOTS OF STUFF IN MY SHOP, COME CHECK IT OUT

but at the same time, i think it would be a good idea, i get annoyed with the WTS's all the time, and then if i am trying to sell something i get annoyed beacuse my post stays on there for about .0000000000001 seconds.

I've pretty much given up with trying to sell stuff on there anymore though, If an item is good enough i put it on the auctions or post it here, as far as my crafting materials i usually wait until i see someone saying they want to buy tanned hide squares or whatever.

It’s called copyright’s infringement.

What about giving the Xunlai Agent and extra duty, auctioning your stuff for you. You put the item you want to sell in your storage set a price and walk away. The window would have different categories separating them, Sword, staff, ect.. For those who are looking to buy they would have to have the amount of gold on hand, like you would buying something from a merchant. That way once they buy the item the money goes directly into you storage.

Thanks, not sure how the whole thing would work it’s just a basic idea. I don’t know which would be a better way to access it. If it would be better to have the access point when you talk to Xunlai Agent or have the options in the storage vault itself, or both.
Idea One Access to all three from Xunlai Agent(sorry for the crudeness of images)

Then your storage will come up and you would place items in the auction bin

Idea Two Access to storage and buying

and the auction button at which open up so you can place the items you want to sell

Continued,
Doing auctions selling another window pops up letting you set price.

Buying Items window might look like this

Don't know what's your thoughts?

Private shops, what a great idea! Soon we'll have a strip mall between Ascalon and Sardelac.

Anyway, I just wanted to suggest another Vending system. This is not my idea but was the trading system in another game I played briefly and I think it's an excellent system.

Basically, each player can put up their own 'vending chest'. This consists of simply placing items for sale in the chest, which would be much like placing items into storage, then entering your asking price. Your 'stand' (chest, shop, whatever) is then activated by sitting down, which causes an icon to appear over your head indicating that you have items for sale. In the game that I played that used this system, you could then go off to do your weekly shopping or go to work or whatever, and come back hours later to find you'd made lots of money!! - or very little, on account of you having complete rubbish in your 'chest' or just because your prices were too high.. hehe

To purchase items you'd just click (or ctrl. click, shift. click, whatever) on the vendor's icon and drag an item from their chest to your inventory. The gold would automatically be deducted from your funds. The item would be yours without any need for interaction from the other person: they did their bit before they went off on holiday

Like I said, I thought this was a brilliant trading system and I would like to see it in Guild Wars. I don't know about the mechanics of coding a trading system but I'd guess that it's easier than the Auction Houses I've read about..

EDIT: Someone found my post and added to this thread. That's fine, wasn't my idea anyway unfortunately. I'm just glad the idea is 'out there' and hope anet will see and consider it sometime..

I like that idea, sort of like window shopping.

i haven't read the previous posts so if anything that i said below coincide with any posts' content, i am sorry then.

For me,i felt that the trading system in Guild Wars are bad..if one need to sell an item, he/she needs to type WTS over and over again..same goes with those who want to buy stuff..for me, i would suggest an option in the menu that allows one to set up his/her own shops in any places and then the player can leave his/her player idle while doing his/her own stuff in real life (a.k.a RL)..then if anyone want to buy the stuff, they just need to click the item and pay the fees to get the item..

Thanks, it’s a collaborate of everyone’s ideas so I can’t take all the credit. There have been a lot of great ideas and yes I would like to see some aspect of other games in GW, sadly Anet can’t incorporate those into its own game due to legalities.

But I think is solves a lot of issues too and gives the gamming community what they want.
1. Give people a new way to sell there goods.
2. Competitive selling and buying. (stabilizing the economy perhaps)
3. Eliminating the majority of Scams.
4. Eliminating the majority of spammers in the trade window.

Add more to the idea let’s keep it going.

yeah, i like zehnchu's idea also..anyway, the trade channel that Guild Wars is bad..some people do not even use it probably..as intended..they use it for chatting purpose..and there is too many channel crammed into a single chatting window..and as stated, if someone need to sell or buy something, he/she needs to type WTS/WTB repeatedly until the fingers crammed..=/

/signed to zenchu's idea

good idea i can pay her for that rent few more storage slots where i can put items i want to get rid of would be waaaay easier than stay in town and spam wts/wtt/wtb...

so if agents get 2 options - 1.open ur storage and 2.see items on sale - u can choose category then choose damage, then choose either characteristics 9all hale staves or all barbed axes) or price range, or items type (collectors staves, purple staves, gold staves, green staves)....
